…as if I’m nothing at all (Ryuuseigun Lyrics Translation)
I just tought, with this blog being named Ryuuseigun and everything, it might be good to post a lyrics translation of the actual song. The Japanese romaji lyrics can be found pretty anywhere on the internet (just google for Onitsuka Chihiro Ryuuseigun and you’ll see), so I don’t bother posting them.
Just keep in mind that A) I’m not fluent in Japanese. I’ve studied the language for approx. 4 years, so I start to get a good hang on it. There may still be odd translations and things that I’ve missunderstood in this translation, B) I didn’t strive to translate the song literarly (that rarely makes any sence in English anyway), but more into what I think Onitsuka Chihiro mean.
Well, enough of me rambling. Here goes the lyrics:
Tell me about the nights that can’t be described by words.
Tell me that all those lukewarm vines that have entangled me are just an
illusion.
Give me a heart, it’s okay if it’s made by your hands.
If you have a place where I can cry, it’s okay if I can’t see the stars.
Your voice that calls out always just turns into sadness.
In such way you prove that I’m ugly, but, please, you need me.
Because if you can’t touch me it’s the same as if I’m nothing at all.
All those ambigouse days which I’ve been alone.
Tie me up until those times have faded and I have nothing more to wish for.
Just with a little shivering I’ve filled up to the brim with emotions.
They are flooding and resounding before my eyes.
In a miraculous moment I’ll abandon this skin.
In such a way I’ve reminded myself that I am weak, but I need it.
Because if you can’t touch me it’s the same as if I’m nothing at all.
All uncountable significances interrupts me.
Even now, at this moment, I don’t know whether I’m beautiful or not.
Your voice that calls out always just turns into sadness.
In such way you prove that I’m ugly, but, please, you need me.
Because if you can’t touch me it’s the same as if I’m nothing at all.
Because if you can’t touch me it’s the same as if I’m nothing at all.
